About
Edinburgh Reward: 3 Courses for the price of 2

La Garrigue is a one of Edinburgh's best French restaurants offering spectacular views of Calton Hill and within 5 minutes walking distance of the famous Royal Mile and Waverley train station. Perfect for lunch or dinner, the restaurant can accommodate larger groups of up to 50 people.

Owned by chef-patron, Jean Michel Gauffre, La Garrigue opened in 2001 and has consistently won 2 AA rosettes every year since its opening. Inspired by Jean Michel's country upbringing in Languedoc, La Garrigue offers rustic family style cooking complimented by a large selection of the best wines from this area of France known as 'Le Midi'. The restaurant features rustic Tim Stead tables and chairs as well as original paintings by Andrew Walker from Jean Michel's home town of Bedarieux and is a cross between an up market restaurant and a bistro offering that 'Je ne sais quoi' experience.

La Garrigue is Gordon Ramsay's favourite French bistro and was The Good Food Guide's restaurant of the year 2010.
