Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2020

Every August Edinburgh is also home to the world famous Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the largest celebration of arts and culture on the planet!

The programme is packed full of shows and exciting performers for all ages and tastes. This includes theatre, dance, circus, comedy, music, musicals, variety, opera, children’s shows and spoken word performances and much more!

Fringe shows usually take place in four main venues: The Assembly, the Pleasance, the Gilded Ballroom and the Underbelly as well as many smaller venues scattered around the city.

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 

As one of the most spectacular shows in the world, with Edinburgh Castle as its backdrop, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo brings together music, ceremony, entertainment and theatre. This 90 minute performance presents over 1,000 military and civilian performers every night! Running 3rd to 25th August 2018

Edinburgh International Book Festival

Returning August 2018 in Charlotte Square Gardens is The Edinburgh Book Festival! This festival is for both adults and children to enjoy.

Appearing at the festival will be some of the most well renowned writers, journalists, poets, illustrators and many more.

The majority of the Book Festival’s events are ticketed, but entry into the Charlotte Square Gardens is free. So if you just want to go somewhere to kick back, relax or browse in the Festival’s book shop, this is a great day out! Visit website for more information.
